SSC CHSL exam is conducted in two tiers:
Tier-I – Computer-Based Test (Objective)
Tier-II – Computer-Based + Skill/Typing Test

Paper-I: Objective Test (Computer-Based)
Computer Knowledge Module: Basics of Computer, Internet, MS Office, Email, Networking
Skill Test (For DEO): 8,000 key depressions per hour
Typing Test (For LDC/JSA): Typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi)
Negative Marking
ier-I: 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer
Tier-II: No negative marking in most modules
