The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC JE exam annually to recruit candidates for Junior Engineer posts. The SSC JE exam includes the 2 tiers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. SSC JE Paper 2 Syllabus (Descriptive – 300 Marks)

Type: Conventional Descriptive Written Paper

Duration: 2 Hours

Choose one subject only based on your branch:

It includes deeper technical and application-based questions from the Paper 1 General Engineering topics but in descriptive format.

Negative Marking

  • Paper 1: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

  • Paper 2: No negative marking (Descriptive).
