The selection process consists of 4 stages:

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

SSC GD Syllabus, Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height:
  • Male:

    • General/OBC/SC: 170 cm

    • ST: 162.5 cm

  • Female:

    • General/OBC/SC: 157 cm

    • ST: 150 cm

Chest (Only for Males):
  • Unexpanded: 80 cm

  • Expanded: Minimum expansion of 5 cm

SSC GD Syllabus, Stage 4: Medical Examination

  • Vision: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction.

  • No knock knee, flat foot, squint in eyes, or color blindness.

  • Must be in good mental and physical health.

Ans: The candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board or university.

2. What is the age limit for SSC GD Constable?

Ans: The age limit is 18 to 23 years.
However, age relaxation is provided for reserved categories:

  • OBC: 3 years

  • SC/ST: 5 years

  • Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per SSC rules.

3. Is there any negative marking in the SSC GD exam?
